Proposed New Passports?

My name is Daniel. I was an English teacher in Seoul, South Korea, and am now  a writer who has
published four books including South Korea: Our Story by Daniel Nardini, The Day China Cried by
Daniel Nardini, My Taiwan, Seoul, and Guadalajara (Mexico) Memoirs by Daniel Nardini, and
My Italian American Family, Rural Taiwan and Lawndale News Memoirs by Daniel Nardini.
The proposed re-design of the South Korean passport is to put it mildly
suspicious. The current South Korean administration has claimed that the design has been in the
works since 2007. But who was in charge back in 2007? The new passport changes mirror
similarities with the North Korean passport. For one, the North Korean passport is blue; the
proposed change to the South Korean passport would also make the South Korean passport
blue instead of its dark green color. The coat of arms of South Korea would be either moved to the
upper left hand corner or removed altogether. This is BAD because it will be hard to identify
the nationality of the person holding this doc-ument. That seems to be the intention however.
Finally, one has to ask why this is being done now. Is it part of bringing South Korea into a
confederation with North Korea on both China and North Korea’s terms? There is no doubt that
the leftist government is pulling out all of the limits to force South Koreans into some kind of
confederation that will be against the interests of the people and without input from South Korea’s
neighbor Japan or its ally the United States.
